The island is located south of Istria in the Kvarner Bay on the Adriatic Sea. Far away from mass tourism, the island of Unije with its unique charm and natural beaches is still considered an insider tip in Croatia. A place where time comes to a standstill.

Unije radiates a very special peace, invites you to relax in one of the many bays and offers a variety of adventure possibilities, such as hiking in a versatile, quiet and wonderfully fragrant nature consisting of olive trees, thyme, sage, rosemary and much more. Of course, this also includes swimming, snorkeling, surfing and sailing in the crystal clear, turquoise sea of the Adriatic.

Unije unfolds its charms all year round: in April, the time begins when the whole island smells of herbs and essential oils. The summer months from May speak for themselves. From October it is a wonderful place for long, quiet walks and fresh fish, self-fished or purchased from the local fishermen.

Beautiful, almost untouched beaches
The main beach is located on a large bay and offers an easy way into the sea through round smooth pebbles. Shade is provided under self-built bamboo huts and from there has a beautiful view of the cozy village of Unije. West of the village, a path leads to the nudist area with rocky and pebble bays. Many other remote corners invite you to swim… You will surely find your oasis of peace.
Unije – A dreamy village with picturesque charm
The small village is the only village on this natural island and offers you everything you need: a bakery, a supermarket, restaurants, an ice cream parlor (during the day THE meeting point in the village), a post office, boat docks, cute alleys for walking and hiking trails. There is no car traffic on the island.
To reach the village, walk along the sea through a beautiful nature. In about five to ten minutes you can reach the village and the port. From there you can reach everything else in no time.

In front of the property of the apartment you can jump directly into the water from a few rocks. Ideal for cooling off in between or right in the morning after getting up.
Within walking distance you can also reach three beautiful beaches
- The most beautiful and popular beach is only about 2-3 minutes walk away and is therefore closer to the property of the apartment than to the village. There, smooth rocks invite you to lie down and jump into the water. From there, enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine in peace. Attached to the rock formation lies in this bay a great pebble beach with smooth pebbles.
- The nearest beach in the direction of the village can also be reached in only about 5 minutes on foot. The beach is located in a bay that is often visited by families. Also this beach has smooth medium-sized pebbles and also here you can easily go into the water.
- The long main beach with flat smooth gravel is located directly adjacent to the village and can also be reached on foot from the apartment in about 10 minutes.
The beach bar offers refreshing, cool drinks and music in the evening
Directly on the beach is the so-called Barabar. A beach bar that also invites you to spend relaxing hours in the shade during the day when the sun gets a little too strong. Even in the evening, the bar is a popular meeting place to enjoy the sunset with a drink. Later in the evening the music is turned up. Occasionally there are parties where a DJ also plays live music.
An ice cream parlour provides cooling on hot days
At the beginning of the main beach is the ice cream parlor, which has always been THE meeting place on the island. The ice cream parlour offers delicious local cakes, great coffee and of course delicious ice cream.
Relax with an outdoor massage
In the immediate vicinity of the Barabar there is a masseur who massages directly on the beach. Take your time and let yourself be pampered. This unique feel-good experience ensures relaxing hours.
On beautiful hiking trails you will discover the fascinating island
